CHARLIE

"Dancing was the best thing I ever done and I'm so glad I started"

Charlie started dancing at the age of 7, 1/2 hr every Saturday morning doing street dance - a compromise so that he could get a games console! One half an hour street dance class quickly turned into 3 dance classes a week, competitions each weekend, travelling the country.

A hobby that turned into so much more. 100% commitment to training and competition. The confidence to perform in front of hundreds of people. Life lessons - nothing comes easy, you have to work to get what you want, and if you get knocked down, brush yourself off and try again. Opportunities to travel and compete in other countries.

But by far the biggest thing and best thing is the people and friendships that have been made over the years. Charlie is surrounded by people who love and respect him and who he loves and respects back. His teachers are one of the biggest role models in his life! And his friends that will last a lifetime!

When this crazy, freestyle journey comes to an end and whether or not he continues with dancing...I don't know but I do know that dancing has shaped his life and made him the strong, independant man he is today. And for this, I will be forever thankful.
